Auto
Having the right amount of insurance won’t prevent an accident, but it will prevent harsh economic loss, which is always a result of a serious accident. Insurance is designed to pass that risk of financial loss from you to the insurance company. An accident may seriously injure you physically, but it doesn’t have to hurt you or your family financially.
What affects your insurance rates?
The answer is not so simple, but it is explainable. The bottom line is the price you ultimately pay is primarily determined by which tier you qualify for. Companies used to have approximately 3 –4 tiers and now most have at least 20.
Factors like personal credit history, maintaining prior insurance with no lapse, and your driving record are the primary driving forces behind which tier you may qualify for. Although many people don’t agree with the use of credit, there is a lot of research indicating a strong correlation between a person’s financial responsibility and the probability of them having a claim.
Tip – Having liability limits of at least 100/300/50 on your prior policy will pre-qualify you for a better tier.

Home
While many Florida insurance agencies can’t secure coverage for their clients, Bruner’s Insurance has always maintained availability for their clients with admitted insurance carriers. Our goal is to have the markets and programs available for our clients to provide stable, long-term homeowners insurance, regardless of where you live in Florida. Our homeowners markets offers competitively priced coverage for a range of sizable and complex homeowners exposures, including mid- to high-value properties, older homes, secondary/seasonal residences, rental properties, builders risks and homes with prior losses.

Umbrella
Umbrella insurance is designed to provide additional liability protection, above and beyond the limits on homeowners, auto, and watercraft personal insurance policies. Depending on the insurance company, an umbrella policy can add an additional $1-5 million in liability protection.

Boat
Most companies provide limited coverage for property damage for small boats such as canoes and small sail boats or small power boats with less than 25 mile per hour horse power under a homeowners or renters insurance policy.
Coverage is usually about $1,000 or 10 percent of the home's property value and generally includes the boat, motor and trailer combined. Liability coverage is typically not included–but it can be added as an endorsement to a homeowners policy. Check with your insurance representative to find out if your boat is covered and what the limits are.
Larger and faster boats, yachts, and personal watercraft such as jet skis and wave runners require a separate boat insurance policy. The size, type and value of the craft and the water in which you use it factor into how much you will pay for insurance coverage.
For physical loss or damage, coverage includes the hull, machinery, fittings, furnishings and permanently attached equipment for an agreed value. These policies also provide broader liability protection than a homeowners policy.

Motorcycle
Choosing the right insurance policy is much like choosing the right bike. You want it to fit your needs and lifestyle, but at the same time be within your budget. Although most states require you to carry a minimum amount of liability coverage, other types of coverage are usually optional. Always ask your insurance representative about which laws apply in your state.
The key to finding which coverage is best for you involves learning about all the options available. Allow our agents to help you choose from: liability coverage, collision coverage, comprehensive coverage, and uninsured motorist coverage.

RV
A special RV policy can provide you with broader coverage than what you would receive on your basic auto policy. There are several reasons to consider this.
Here are a few:
- An auto policy will not provide coverage for personal articles that you would normally leave in your RV, like laptops, clothing, jewelry and camping gear.
- At a campsite, you may be liable for the area around your RV. If you were found negligible for someone’s injury in this scenario, your auto policy would not cover you.
- If your RV is damaged while traveling, a RV policy can provide coverage for a place to stay and transportation there, your auto policy would not.
- When you insure your RV on its own policy, you'll know you have a wide range of coverage for a wide range of incidents that could happen.
